 Audi MMI    Communication  Online services (car telephone kit)
By using the online services you can access selected Internet content. Data packets are received via your car telephone kit and then shown on the MMI display.
You can also create a Wireless LAN hotspot via your MMI system which you can then use to conveniently go online, for example with your laptop computer.
The following online services are currently available:
In Navigation mode
  • Realistic Google1) Earth™ map display Link
  • Google™ search for online destinations (e.g. restaurants) for planning a route via the MMI control console Link and the speech dialogue system Link
  • Planning a route on your PC and loading the destination into your MMI system via the myAudi account Link
In Info mode
  • Audi online traffic information, up-to-the-minute reception of traffic information on accidents, roadworks and other disruptions Link
  • Online information services such as weather information services

  • Creating contacts on your PC via the myAudi account and loading the contacts into your MMI system Link
WLAN hotspot
  • Using the Internet on up to eight Wireless LAN devices Link

Only use the online services when the traffic conditions allow you to do so safely - risk of accident! Please see Link.
Note
  • Online services are only available if you have a mobile phone contract that includes a data option and if you are in an area with mobile phone network coverage. Depending on your mobile phone tariff, you may be charged for receiving data packets online, especially if you are using the system abroad: We strongly recommend that you use a data flat rate. For more information, contact your service provider.
  • Online services are only available in European countries (except for Turkey, Cyprus, Iceland, Malta; Russia: only Moscow and St. Petersburg area); the availability also depends on third parties.
  • You might require a separate mobile phone contract with extra costs before you can use the online services. For more information, contact your service provider.
  • You can determine when the MMI system establishes a connection with the Internet Link. The online connection is severed automatically when the requested online service no longer requires any data packets.
