The MMI system receives Audi online traffic
information from the Internet and can give real-time information
on accidents, roadworks and other disruptions. These data are automatically
used for detailed instructions and for calculating the best possible
route based on the current traffic situation.
The online traffic information is additionally displayed with coloured
markings on the map:
-1- | Green: no obstructions |
-2- | Yellow: heavy traffic |
-3- | Orange: slow-moving traffic |
-4- | Red: traffic jam |
An immediately upcoming traffic obstruction for the route guidance
that is currently active is shown with a coloured warning symbol
on the map. Hatched markings show the stretch of road affected by
the traffic obstruction. Traffic obstructions marked with grey warning
symbols are not on your planned route.
You can adjust the settings for the display of the coloured markings,
warning symbols etc. in the Map content
menu
Link.
Note
- Every vehicle with active online traffic information contributes to specifying and predicting the traffic situation as precisely as possible. For this purpose, information on the position of your vehicle is encrypted and transmitted anonymously to the traffic data providers at regular intervals. Should you not wish this to happen, you can switch off the online traffic information function at any time.
- Online services are only available if you have a mobile phone contract that includes a data option and if you are in an area with mobile phone network coverage. Depending on your mobile phone tariff, you may be charged for receiving data packets online, especially if you are using the system abroad: We strongly recommend that you use a data flat rate. For more information, contact your service provider.
- The online traffic information network is not yet available in all countries. For more information, please see www.audi.com.
- You can call up information on your traffic data licence period in the Online traffic data licence menu Link.
