The service interval display detects when the next service is due for your Audi Q3.
You can check in the instrument cluster or infotainment* display whether an oil change or service inspection is due.
There are two display levels:
  • Service reminder: After a certain mileage, a service reminder will appear in the instrument cluster display each time the ignition is switched on Fig. 1. The distance and time remaining will be shown briefly.
  • Service due: When your Audi Q3 is due for a service, SERVICE or Service due ! will appear briefly after you switch on the ignition.
Checking the service intervals
You can look up the distance and time remaining until the next oil change and next service inspection:
  • In the instrument cluster: Switch on the ignition and press and hold the SET button Fig. 2 until the hour display starts to flash. Then press the SET button repeatedly until the service interval display appears.
  • On the infotainment system*: Select function selector button CAR > control button Systems / Car systems > Servicing & checks > Service intervals.
You cannot check the service interval for the first 500 km or so after resetting the display or when your Audi Q3 is new.
Resetting the display
Your qualified workshop resets the service interval display after each service.
If you change the oil yourself, you can reset the oil change display. In this case, the next oil change will be due after a fixed service interval of 15,000 km or one year1).
To reset the display, proceed as follows:
  • In the instrument cluster: Select the oil change display Link. Press and hold the 0.0 button -8- Fig. 3 for at least three seconds.
  • On Audi Q3s with infotainment system*, you can also reset the oil change display in the CAR menu. To do so, select function selector button CAR > control button Systems / Car systems > Servicing & checks > Service intervals. Turn the rotary pushbutton to scroll down to Reset oil change interval and press to confirm.
Caution!
  • Do not reset the oil change interval display unless you have changed the oil.
  • Keeping to the correct service intervals is most important for the service life and residual value of the Audi Q3 (and especially for the life of the engine). Services must always be carried out promptly, even if the mileage is low.
  • The time until the next oil change is not counted down if the battery is disconnected. If your Audi Q3 is out of service for an extended period, please refer to the Service Schedule for details of the next service date.
