Applies to: vehicles with Audi tablet
Once you connect the Audi tablet with the MMI system, you can use all of the Audi tablet functions in conjunction with your vehicle (e.g. send navigation destinations to the MMI, use media sources on the MMI, etc.).
You can establish a connection using one of the following options:
Option 1: You can quickly establish an automatic connection between the Audi tablet and the MMI.

Important: The ignition must be switched on.

  • Attach the Audi tablet to the holder provided link.
Option 2: You can establish a connection manually.

Important: The ignition must be switched on. The Audi tablet must be switched on link. The Audi tablet must be within range of the vehicle s Wi-Fi hotspot. The requirements for the Wi-Fi hotspot must have been met link and the Wi-Fi function must be switched on. The Discoverability function must be switched on link.

  • Select: button > Settings > Wi-Fi.
  • Tap on the name of the Wi-Fi network (SSID) for your vehicle. Refer to link.
  • If necessary, enter the password for the Wi-Fi hotspot in your vehicle. Refer to link.
The symbol is displayed in the status line while there is an active connection with the MMI.
Note
  • The connection with the MMI will remain active if you take the Audi tablet out of the holder. This applies only if the ignition is switched on and the Audi tablet is within range of the vehicle s Wi-Fi hotspot.
  • An Internet connection is required in order to use the Audi map app. Also refer to link.
