Applies to: vehicles with plug-in hybrid drive
If there is no electrical power to the vehicle charging connection, the charging connector can be manually released via a mechanical lever.
If you cannot remove the charging connector from the vehicle charging connection, a malfunction may have occurred. The vehicle charging connector will have to be released manually.
If it is also not possible to release the vehicle charging connector using the button link►, a malfunction has occurred. You will need to release the charging connector mechanically by hand.
Important: The selector lever must be in position P, the vehicle must be unlocked and the charging cycle must have been interrupted or finished.
Open the bonnet link►.
Take the screwdriver out of the vehicle tool kit link►. Use the flat-blade side of the reversible insert.
Insert the screwdriver through the opening and position it against the light-coloured lever. Then pull the screwdriver slightly forwards. A torch or other light may be helpful when releasing the mechanism manually.
Unplug the connector.
Drive to a qualified workshop without delay and have the fault rectified.
If the charging connector cannot be removed after the manual release procedure, you should obtain professional assistance.
