Audi MMI  Communication  Telephone  Messages
Depending on your mobile phone and your mobile phone contract, you may be able to send and receive text messages via the MMI.
Important: A mobile phone with active remote SIM Access Profile/Bluetooth MAP (Message Access Profile) must be connected to the MMI.
Select: TEL button > Messages > if necessary Text messages.
If you receive a text message, this will be shown on the MMI display.
Control button Folder
Depending on your mobile phone, any available text message folders will be displayed (e.g. Sent text messages).
Control button New
  • To send a text message: Select and confirm Create new text message. Enter a recipient. Enter text using the MMI touch pad or the speller. Select and confirm Send.
  • To send a text message template: Select and confirm the template you require from the list. Enter a recipient. Select and confirm Send.
  • To save a text message as a template: Create a text message. Select and confirm Store as template.
There are already ten text message templates saved in the MMI. You can save up to ten additional templates.
Control button Read
You can have the MMI read an opened text message to you.

  • Please note that, depending on your SIM card (e.g. if you are using a Multi SIM card), you may need to activate the function for sending and receiving text messages. For further information, contact your mobile network service provider or refer to the operating instructions for your mobile phone.
  • For more information on which mobile phones are supported, please go to www.audi.com/bluetooth or contact an Audi dealer.
  • You can also use the speech dialogue system to easily dictate a text message Link.
