Lights when leaving car (coming home)* / Lights when unlocking car (leaving home)*
The coming home function lights up the area round the vehicle after dark when the ignition has been switched off and the driver's door opened. A setting is available for controlling how long the lights stay on*.
The leaving home function lights up the area round the vehicle after dark when the vehicle is unlocked. The function can be switched on or off as required.
The coming home and leaving home functions are operational after dark when the light switch is set to AUTO Fig. 1.
Automatic headlights*
The sensitivity of the light sensor (i.e. how soon the lights are switched on) can be adjusted.
Headlamp converter for driving abroad*
The asymmetric low beams of the headlights are designed to light up the nearside of the road more intensely. If you drive a right-hand drive vehicle in a left-hand drive country, or vice versa, you will dazzle oncoming traffic. To avoid dazzling oncoming traffic:
  • On vehicles with xenon lights*, the headlamp converter must be activated.
  • On vehicles with halogen lights, you have to apply opaque stickers to certain parts of the headlight lenses. For more information, contact a qualified workshop.
Note
If the headlamp converter is activated, this is displayed in the instrument cluster display every time the ignition is switched on.
