Select: Control button Menu > Text messages.
Inbox/outbox
The following functions are available under Options when you open a text message to read it:
  • Delete - to delete the open text message.
  • Call - to dial the number of the person who sent the open text message.
  • Reply (only in inbox) - to reply to the open text message.
  • Extract number - to copy a telephone number from an open text message so it can be edited.
  • Forward - to forward the text message to another telephone number.
  • Store - to store text messages in the outbox when they are sent.
  • Store contact - to store a contact as a new contact in the phone book.
Settings
Validity period: You can adjust the validity period of a text message on the message server of the mobile network service provider.
Delivery report: The mobile network service provider sends a message to the sender as soon as a sent text message has been transmitted.
Store sent text messages: The sent text messages are stored.
Service centre: To retrieve or change the number of the message centre.
Memory capacity: To display the total capacity of the text message memory and the amount of memory used.
Delete text message
Select whether you would like to delete the Read, Unread, Sent, Unsent or All text messages and press the control button for Ok.
Note
The handset display shows only text messages which are stored on the SIM card.
