Electro-mechanical power steering assists the driver when steering.
The degree of power assistance is adapted electronically, depending on the speed.
Warning/indicator lamps and driver messages

If the warning lamp lights up permanently and the message appears, there may be a power steering failure.
Stop the Audi Q7 in a safe place as soon as possible. Do NOT drive on. Obtain professional assistance.

If the warning lamp lights up permanently and the message appears, there may be a failure in the all-wheel steering*. The Audi Q7 may require more road clearance at the side.
Reduce your speed and stop the Audi Q7 in a safe place as soon as possible with adequate side clearance. Do NOT drive on. Obtain professional assistance.

If the indicator lamp lights up and the message appears, the steering response may be heavier or lighter than usual. In addition, it is possible that the steering wheel will be off centre when driving in a straight line.
Drive slowly to a qualified workshop and have the fault rectified.

If the indicator lamp lights up and the message appears, there may be a failure in the all-wheel steering*. Please note that the Audi Q7 will have a larger turning circle and that the handling in corners will be the same as on Audi Q7s without all-wheel steering. In addition, it is possible that the steering wheel will be off centre when driving in a straight line.
Drive slowly to a qualified workshop and have the fault rectified.
