Applies to: Audi Q7s with Audi adaptive cruise control
The adaptive cruise control also assists you when driving in congested traffic. If a Audi Q7 in front stops, the adaptive cruise control applies the brakes (within the limits imposed by the system) and holds the Audi Q7 at a standstill.
To set the Audi Q7 in motion again with the adaptive cruise control, tap the accelerator with your foot, or
Pull the lever towards you to position -2- Fig. ►.

If the message ACC: ready to drive off is on the display and the Audi Q7 in front drives off, your Audi Q7 will automatically start moving ►. You can reactivate the ACC: ready to drive off message briefly by pulling the lever to position -2-.
For safety reasons, your Audi Q7 will start moving only if
- the driver s seat belt is buckled,
- all the doors and the bonnet are closed,
- your Audi Q7 has been stationary for less than 3 minutes.
The warning lamp and instrument cluster display draw your attention to danger Fig. 134►. In addition, a tone will sound.
- Press the brake pedal to slow down.
If the ACC: ready to drive off1) message appears, your Audi Q7 will start moving even if there is an obstacle between your car and the Audi Q7 in front - risk of accident!
Note
- If your Audi Q7 does not start moving as expected with the adaptive cruise control, even though the ACC: ready to drive off1) message is displayed, you can set the Audi Q7 in motion by tapping the accelerator with your foot.
- If an obstacle is detected when the Audi Q7 starts moving, the safe start monitor will appear Fig. 134►. Your Audi Q7 will then set off more slowly. This can happen in certain situations, even if there appears to be no obstacle.
