Applies to: Audi Q7s with predictive efficiency assist
General notes
The predictive efficiency assist1) helps the driver to anticipate the driving route and adopt an economical driving style. The assist function uses data from the navigation system* (including speed limits, gradients and the radius of bends in the road) to predict the route. Information from the camera-based traffic sign recognition* system is also applied link►.
The information displayed depends on how up-to-date the navigation data* and traffic sign recognition* data are.
When the adaptive cruise control* is off, the predictive efficiency assist function is purely informational. When the adaptive cruise control* is switched on, the system actually uses the information about the road situation ahead to control the Audi Q7.
On Audi Q7s with navigation system* and/or activated adaptive cruise control*, the system decides whether to activate coasting mode link► according to the situation.

Display in the instrument cluster
The tips in the instrument cluster display tell the driver in advance when to let the Audi Q7 coast in anticipation of events ahead that will require a slower speed.
The tips are only displayed when the cruise control* or adaptive cruise control* systems are switched off.
Information is also provided in the head-up display*.

Always direct your full attention to the road and surroundings, even when you are using the predictive efficiency assist. It is always the driver s responsibility to assess the traffic situation and take appropriate care.
Note
- The type of information displayed can vary depending on the driving mode currently selected in drive select link►. More tips are given in efficiency mode.
- If a route has been entered in the navigation system*, that route will be used as reference for the tips given. If no route has been entered, the system uses an assumed route plan to predict the situation ahead.
- A tip is not given in every situation, for instance if the Audi Q7 is too close to react to the event ahead.
- No tips are given at speeds below 30 km/h.
