Spare wheel with directional tread pattern
Please note the following points when fitting a spare wheel with a directional tread pattern:
- The correct running direction is indicated by an arrow on the sidewall.
- If you have to mount the spare wheel so it rotates in the wrong direction, it will not give optimum performance (i.e. resistance to aquaplaning, minimum road noise and tread wear). Bear this in mind particularly when driving on wet roads, and adjust your speed to suit the road conditions. If the spare wheel is mounted so that it rotates in wrong direction, it should not be left in place for longer than necessary.
