Applies to vehicles: with jack and collapsible wheel chocks
The jack and collapsible wheel chocks are stored under the floor panel in the luggage compartment.
Jack
The jack is located underneath the vehicle tool kit. Before replacing the jack in the storage bin, wind down the arm of the jack as far as it will go.
Collapsible wheel chocks
Two collapsible wheel chocks are secured to the front foam section alongside the jack Fig. 1.
Release the two velcro fasteners and lift out the two wheel chocks. To use the wheel chocks, first raise the support plate Fig. 2 -1- and then insert the two "lugs" of the securing plate into the elongated holes on the base plate -2- WARNING!.
- The jack supplied by the factory is only designed for changing wheels on this model. On no account attempt to use it for lifting heavier vehicles or other loads - risk of injury.
- Never start the engine when the vehicle is on the jack – risk of accident.
- If work has to be done under the vehicle, ensure that it is safely supported on stands designed for the purpose, otherwise there is a risk of injury.
- The wheel chock cannot perform its intended function and can topple over if the "lugs" on the support plate are not correctly inserted in the elongated holes on the base plate. In this case, the vehicle may roll away when you are changing a wheel.
- Never use wheel chocks which are damaged or incorrectly assembled.
Note
On vehicles equipped with the adaptive air suspension* system you must activate the jacking mode Link before lifting your car on the jack.
