The brightness of the background lighting can be adjusted as desired using the MMI.
Select: Function selector button CAR > Systems* > Background lighting.
The standard lighting will switch on once the vehicle is unlocked and will dim automatically after about 2 minutes unless the ignition is switched on, at which point the lighting switches off immediately.
It is only possible to make system configuration adjustments when the ignition is switched on.
The following interior lighting settings can be adjusted using the Background lighting option:
  • Front footwell
  • Rear footwell
  • Front door trim
  • Rear door trim
