The backrests can be folded down separately or together.
Folding down backrest
Pull the lever up Fig. 1. The backrest will move forwards.
Engage the backrest in the lowest position.
Returning backrest to an upright position
Folding down centre backrest*
Press the release button Fig. 2. The red marking on the release button should now be visible.
Fold down the backrest.
Returning centre backrest* to an upright position
Move the backrest back into its upright position until it engages and the red marking is no longer visible WARNING!.
The centre backrest* can be folded down separately. This load-through feature allows you to transport long items such as skis etc. in the interior of the vehicle.
- Make sure that the rear backrest is securely locked in position so that the seat belt can provide proper protection on the centre rear seat.
- The rear backrest must always be securely latched so that objects stored in the luggage compartment will not fly forward during sudden braking.
Caution!
- If you need to adjust the front seats when the rear backrest is folded forwards, please take care to avoid damaging the rear head restraints.
- Before folding down the backrest, push the outer seat belt slides upwards. When returning the backrest to an upright position, make sure that the seat belts for the outer rear seats are not caught up and damaged. It is also important to remove any other objects from the rear seats to avoid damaging the backrest when folding it forwards.
