Audi Q5   Self-help   Fuses and bulbs  Fuses
To see whether a fuse has blown, check whether the metal strip has melted.
The fuses are located at the left and right-hand ends of the dash panel and behind the right side trim in the luggage compartment.
Switch off the ignition and the failed component.
Refer to the tables below to see which fuse belongs to which component and remove the appropriate fuse cover.
Take the plastic clip from inside the fuse cover Fig. 1.
Use the plastic clip to pull out the fuse and replace the blown fuse with a fuse of the same rating.
Caution!
Never attempt to repair a fuse or replace it by fitting a fuse with a higher rating - risk of fire! It could also cause damage to other parts of the electrical system.
Note
  • If a newly replaced fuse blows again after a short time, the electrical system must be checked by a qualified workshop as soon as possible.
  • Unassigned fuse locations are not shown in the tables below. In case of doubt, the specifications in the stickers on the fuse covers take precedence.
  • The crank handle* in the fuse cover is intended for manual operation of the electric panorama sun roof* should this be necessary.
