- Never allow anyone to sit directly behind the front passenger's seat or in the rear centre seat when the front passenger's backrest is folded down. This also applies to children in child seats. There is an increased risk of injury during sudden braking manoeuvres or in the event of an accident.
WARNING!
Incorrect use of the folding backrest can result in serious injury.
- When folding down the backrest, make sure that there are no objects on the seat which might prevent the backrest from engaging correctly.
- Always hold the backrest when releasing it and folding it down to prevent it from suddenly springing down.
- Take care that your or your passengers' hands, fingers or feet are not cut or crushed by parts of the front passenger's seat when folding the backrest back up to an upright position.
- When folding the backrest back up, make sure that the floor mat or other objects are not entangled in the folding mechanism of the backrest. Otherwise the backrest might not engage correctly when it is folded back up to an upright position.
- When folding the backrest to an upright position, make sure that it is folded back up completely and is locked in position securely. If the backrest is not locked in position correctly, it could move suddenly and cause serious injury, especially to anyone sitting in the rear of the Audi Q5.
- Take care when adjusting the height of the seat and when folding down the backrest! Carelessness when adjusting the front seat or folding down the backrest can result in injuries!
WARNING!
In an accident or a sudden braking manoeuvre, loose objects in the passenger compartment can be flung forward and possibly injure Audi Q5 occupants - risk of injury! Observe the following to reduce the risk of serious injury:
- Always stow items of luggage and other heavy objects in the luggage compartment.
- Always secure items of luggage with appropriate retaining cords or straps to prevent them from being flung forwards into the passenger compartment in an accident or sudden braking manoeuvre.
