Applies to Audi Q5s: with car telephone kit and handset
The factory-fitted handset is already bonded to the car telephone kit.
You may have to bond the handset to the car telephone kit if the connection is not established automatically. The bonding procedure is started from the handset.
In the Bluetooth settings menu of the MMI system, set Discoverability to on for the bonding process Link.
Select the main menu Settings on the handset.
Use the navigation button of the handset to select the menu option Bluetooth and press the control button for Ok.
Select the menu option Veh. base station Fig. 1 and press the control button for Ok. The available Audi Q5 base station will be displayed (e.g. "AUDI MMI 2613").
Select a Audi Q5 base station (e.g. "Audi MMI 2613") and press the control button for Conn. on the handset.
To establish the connection, turn the rotary pushbutton of the MMI system to Yes and press the rotary pushbutton. A 16-digit PIN number Fig. 2 will appear in the MMI display.
To enter the PIN number displayed, turn the rotary pushbutton of the MMI system to Yes again and press to confirm.
Enter this PIN number on the handset while the Audi Q5 is stationary and press the control button for Ok. You will be given about 30 seconds to complete the entry.
To enter any 16-digit PIN number, turn the rotary pushbutton of the MMI system to No Fig. 2 and press the rotary pushbutton. The speller will appear on the MMI display.
Enter any 16-digit PIN code via the speller Link.
Turn the speller to OK and press the rotary pushbutton.
Then enter the same 16-digit PIN number on the handset while the Audi Q5 is stationary and press the control button for Ok. You will be given about 30 seconds to complete the entry.
The exact name of the Bluetooth-capable base station on your Audi Q5 (e.g. "AUDI MMI 2613") can be retrieved using the Bluetooth name function Link.
Note
The handset can be deleted from the list of Bluetooth devices Link.
