You can use the infotainment system to select which doors are unlocked by the central locking system.
Select: Function selector button CAR > control button Car systems > Audi A8 settings > Central locking.
Lock when driving - if you select on, the whole Audi A8 is locked automatically when it reaches a speed of 15 km/h. This will lock all the doors and the boot lid.
Central locking system
Unlock doors - you can specify which doors are unlocked:
- If you select all, all the doors and the boot lid will be unlocked when you press the
button on the remote control key once. - If you select driver, only the driver's door will be unlocked when you press the button on the remote control key once. On Audi A8s with convenience key, only one door will be unlocked (whichever door you grip by the handle). If you press the button twice, the whole Audi A8 will be unlocked.
The whole Audi A8 is always locked when you press the 
button.
button.Disable boot lid handle - If you select on, you can no longer open the luggage compartment using the release catch on the boot lid. In this case, you can open the boot lid using the 
button on the remote control key or the button on the driver's door. On Audi A8s with convenience key*, the release catch on the boot lid can still be used to open the luggage compartment if an authorised remote control key is near the proximity sensor*.
