Picture format
We recommend using the auto setting for the picture format.

The MMI detects the picture format of the source and displays the picture using the best possible width-to-height ratio. Depending on the source format and the MMI display installed, black bars may be displayed on the edges of the picture. |

The picture is set to a width-to-height ratio of 16:9. Black bars will be shown on the upper and lower edges of the MMI display. |
Picture settings
Brightness: The brightness can be increased/reduced.
Contrast: The picture contrast can be increased/reduced.
Colour: The colour intensity can be increased/reduced.
Multi-channel sound (TV tuner)
For channels that are broadcast in multiple languages, you can select from the languages/sound channels available. Sound channels with audio description1) are marked with a symbol (crossed-out eye).
TV standard (TV tuner)
- TV standard: The TV standard is preset at the factory to the TV standard of the country to which the vehicle is sold.
- Factory settings: If you experience restricted functionality of the TV tuner, reset it to the factory settings.
AV standard (External AV input)
You can set the AV standard (auto/PAL/NTSC) for a device connected externally. The same standard must also be set on the player. If you select the wrong AV standard, the following problems can occur: no picture or a poor picture or no colour picture.
Subtitles (TV tuner)
- on: If available, subtitles will be displayed automatically for TV programmes.
- off: Subtitles will not be displayed.
Chan. Foll. (TV tuner)
Important: A channel must indicate that an alternative channel is available.
- on: To ensure that you remain tuned to the selected TV channel, the TV tuner automatically switches between alternative channels if you leave the transmission area of the current channel.
- off: The tuner will not switch to alternative channels automatically. If you leave the transmission area of the currently selected TV channel, it may no longer be received. The alternative channels which are currently within reception range are displayed in the channel list and can be selected manually.
Delete stored channels (TV tuner)
Important: A channel must be stored in the memory list.
You can Delete stored channels individually or Delete all stored channels.

The availability and content of the multi-channel sound depend on the broadcasting company.
