If the ambient conditions are sufficiently bright, the night vision assist can be switched on even when the light switch is not set to AUTO or
. However, the pedestrian highlighting and warning features are only active after dark when the headlights are on.

If you turn the light switch to
or 0 after dark, the night vision assist will automatically be switched off and the following message will appear Night vision assist: only available at night when lights are on.
