The driver information system is operated using the buttons on the
multi-function steering wheel.
How to use the controls
Switch on the ignition.
To switch between the tabs, press the left or right side of
the rocker switch -1-

To show more information further up or down the display, scroll
the thumbwheel -2- up or down.
To confirm a selection, press the thumbwheel -2-.
To call up a submenu of the active display tab, press button
-3-.
To call up a function assigned to the steering wheel button*,
press button -4-.
Calling up Vehicle functions
Use the rocker switch -1- to select the first display tab.
To select a menu item, scroll and press the thumbwheel -2-.
Resetting figures to zero
Select On-board computer or
Efficiency programme from the
Vehicle functions menu.
You can now choose between the single journey and total journey
memories.
To reset the figures in the selected memory to zero, press the
thumbwheel -2- for one second.
Assigning a function to the steering wheel button*
Select: Function selector button CAR
> control button (Car)*
Systems > Vehicle settings
> Steering wheel button.
When you switch on the ignition, the last selected function is displayed.
On-board computer
You can call up the following information sequentially on the
on-board computer:
- Date
- Driving time (hours) from single journey memory
- Average fuel consumption (ltr./100 km) from single journey memory, or
- Average speed (km/h) from single journey memory
- Distance covered (km) from single journey memory
- Current fuel consumption (ltr./100 km)
- Single journey memory summary
- Total journey memory summary
The single journey memory processes the information on a journey
from the time the ignition is switched on until it is switched
off. If the journey is resumed within two hours after the ignition
is switched off, the new figures are automatically included
in the calculation.
Unlike the single journey memory, the total journey memory is
not erased automatically. In this way, you can determine the
period for which you wish the on-board computer to supply driving
information.
With some vehicle functions, you can call up the information
from the single journey memory in line -1-

Efficiency programme
The efficiency programme can help to save fuel. It evaluates
fuel efficiency data and shows a list of auxiliary equipment
Link affecting fuel consumption. It also provides economy
tips
Link for saving fuel. The efficiency programme uses the
trip and fuel consumption data from the on-board computer.
To display the efficiency programme, call up the
Vehicle functions and select
Efficiency programme from the menu.
The values in the on-board computer are reset when you clear
the data from the efficiency programme.
Note
- The measurement units may be different on vehicles for some markets.
- The information in the memory is cancelled if the battery is disconnected.
