In position D/S, the gearbox will revert to automatic mode if you do not operate one of the paddle levers again within a short period. If you prefer to use the paddle levers for manual gear selection over an extended period, push the selector lever to the right from position D/S.
When accelerating, the gearbox automatically shifts up into the next gear shortly before the maximum engine speed is reached.
If you select a lower gear, the gearbox will not shift down until there is no risk of overrevving the engine.
When the kick-down feature is used, the gearbox shifts down to a lower gear, depending on the road speed and engine speed.
Hybrid vehicles: It is not possible to drive in tiptronic mode using electric power.
