Some of the warning lamps may be accompanied by a driver message and a warning tone. Please also familiarise yourself with the warning lamps described on Link onwards.
Press brake pedal to start engine
This message appears if you try to start the vehicle without first pressing the brake pedal.
Engage N or P to start engine
This message appears if you try to start the vehicle when the selector lever is not in position N or P.
[a345] Hybrid drive: system fault! Brake servo and power steering malfunction possible
If the warning lamp lights up and the message appears, there is a malfunction in the hybrid system. The brake servo and the power steering system could stop working. Stop the vehicle in a safe place as soon as possible.
If the warning lamp goes out after you have attempted to start the vehicle several times, you can continue driving. You should otherwise seek professional assistance - do not drive on.

If the warning lamp lights up and the message appears, there is a malfunction in the hybrid system. Drive to a qualified workshop soon and have the fault rectified.
Hybrid drive deactivated. Please restart engine manually.
This driver message appears if the charge of the high-voltage battery drops below a certain level or if the ignition key is no longer inside the vehicle.
Start the engine with the START ENGINE STOP button Link.
Hybrid battery: low battery charge. Battery will be charged while driving.
This driver message appears if the charge of the high-voltage battery drops below a certain level. If this message disappears after a while, the high-voltage battery will have been sufficiently charged while driving.
If the message does not disappear, drive to a qualified workshop soon and have the fault rectified.

This driver message appears if the conditions for extended electric driving are not fulfilled. Please try again later.
Hybrid ready: Switch off ignition before getting out of vehicle. See owner's manual
This driver message appears if you open the driver's door while the ignition is switched on or while the vehicle is ready to be driven. Always switch off the ignition before you leave the vehicle.
If the combustion engine is not running, the heating/cooling function of the air conditioner and the high-voltage system are switched off.
