Applies to vehicles: with hybrid drive
- Fig. 1 Overview of power meter
The power meter displays the status and availability of the hybrid system.
The green areas on the dial are used to show that the vehicle is being driven economically and that energy is being recuperated. Less economical driving is indicated when the needle points to the orange area. The battery status also informs you about the charge level of the high-voltage battery.
-1- | Economical driving with the combustion engine running at partial load |
-2- | System limit for electric driving in EV mode |
-3- | Electric driving or driving using the combustion engine (EFFICIENCY) |
-4- | Vehicle ready to be driven (READY) |
-5- | Charge level of the high-voltage battery |
-6- | Recuperation (CHARGE) |
-7- | Driving with the combustion engine running at full load |
-8- | Combustion engine at 100% |
-9- | Boosting - electric motor supporting the combustion engine (BOOST) |
-10- | Input from the normal brakes with recuperation |
-11- | Vehicle not ready to be driven (OFF) |
-12- | EV mode active |
When the ignition is switched on, the needle continues to point to OFF. When the vehicle is ready to be driven, the status message hybrid ready appears briefly in the instrument cluster display and the needle in the power meter moves to READY.
