Applies to: vehicles with parking system plus/reversing camera/surround view cameras/park assist with 360° display
If you hear a continuous warning tone for a few seconds and the LED in the button starts flashing when you switch on the parking aid, or while the parking aid is activated, a system fault has occurred. If the fault is not corrected before you switch off the ignition, it will only be indicated by the flashing LED in the button the next time you switch on the parking aid by engaging reverse gear.
Parking system plus* / park assist with 360° display*
If a sensor malfunctions, the symbol will be shown on the infotainment display in front of or behind the vehicle. If a rear sensor malfunctions, obstacles will only be displayed in zones -A- and -B- Fig. 1. If a front sensor malfunctions, obstacles will only be displayed in zones -C- and -D-. A system fault has occurred if all segments around the vehicle are shown in red or if no segments are displayed.
Surround view cameras*
A system fault has also occurred if the symbol appears on the display and the corresponding display zone is shown in blue. The camera in this area has malfunctioned.
Drive to a qualified workshop soon and have the fault rectified.
