- Fig. 1 Instrument cluster: Boost pressure, shift light and engine oil temperature display
Applies to: vehicles with boost pressure, shift light and engine oil temperature displays
Scroll the thumbwheel on the steering wheel until Lap timer appears on the instrument cluster display.
-A- Boost pressure display
The current boost level of the engine (that is, the current charge pressure) is indicated by a bar.
-B- Shift light display
The shift light display is only visible when shifting gears in tiptronic mode ►Link. As the engine speed increases, green LEDs light up and will flash red when the engine speed nears the rev limit.
On vehicles with a head-up display, the shift light appears in the head-up display rather than the instrument cluster, provided that the head-up display is switched on ►Link.
-C- Engine oil temperature display
Engine oil temperatures below 60 °C are indicated by the symbol , followed by three dashes "- - -" and the unit (°C).
The engine has reached its operating temperature in normal driving conditions when the oil temperature is between 60 ℃ and 120 ℃. If the engine is running under increased load at high ambient temperatures, the oil temperature may increase above this value. This is no cause for concern, provided that the indicator/warning lamps ►Link or ►Link in the display do not start flashing.
