Certain preparations must be made before you change the wheel.
Please refer to the important safety notes ►Link.
Apply the parking brake.
Manual gearbox: Engage first gear.
Automatic gearbox: Move the selector lever to position P.
If you are towing a trailer, unhitch it from your Audi A6.
Take out the tools ►Link and spare wheel ►Link.
Activate jacking mode* on the infotainment system: Function selector button CAR > control button (Car)* Systems > Servicing & checks > Air susp.: whl. change > on.
WARNING!
If you have to change the tyre on a gradient, block the wheel opposite the wheel being changed by placing a stone or similar object under it to prevent the Audi A6 from rolling away.
