This message appears on Audi A6s with an automatic gearbox if you try to start the engine without first pressing the brake pedal.
Press clutch pedal to start engine
This message appears on Audi A6s with a manual gearbox if you try to start the engine without first pressing the clutch pedal.
Key not in Audi A6?If the indicator lamp lights up and the message appears, the remote control key was removed from the Audi A6 while the engine was running. If the remote control key is not in the Audi A6 you will not be able to switch on the ignition or restart the engine after it has been switched off. You will also not be able to lock the Audi A6 from the outside.
Shift to P, otherwise Audi A6 can roll away. Doors do not lock if lever is not in P
For safety reasons, this message will appear if the selector lever is not in position P when you switch off the ignition. Put the selector lever in position P; otherwise the Audi A6 can roll away and cannot be locked.
