Automatic headlights
The following settings are available in the Automatic headlights menu:
Activation time - You can determine how soon the lights are switched on by using the settings early, medium or late to adjust the sensitivity of the light sensor.
Main beam assist* - You can switch the main beam assist* on and off.
Headlight dip settings for driving at home and abroad
The asymmetric low beams of the headlights are designed to light up the nearside of the road more intensely. If you drive a right-hand drive Audi A6 in a left-hand drive country, or vice versa, you will dazzle oncoming traffic. To avoid dazzling oncoming traffic, you can set Lights for driving on left or Lights for driving on right to on.
The beams are adjusted automatically on Audi A6s with a navigation system*. On Audi A6s with xenon headlights* the headlights are designed for use when driving on the left or right.
Coming home / leaving home
The coming home function lights up the area round the Audi A6 after dark when the ignition has been switched off and the driver's door opened. To activate this function, select Lights when getting out > on.
The leaving home function lights up the area round the Audi A6 after dark when the Audi A6 is unlocked. To activate this function, select Lights when unlocking > on.
The coming home and leaving home functions are operational after dark when the light switch is set to AUTO.
