You can call up the following information sequentially on the on-board computer:
- Date
- Driving time (hours) from single journey memory
- Average fuel consumption (ltr./100 km) from single journey memory
- Average speed (km/h) from single journey memory
- Distance covered (km) from single journey memory
- Current fuel consumption (ltr./100 km)
- Single journey memory summary
- Total journey memory summary
The single journey memory processes the information on a journey from the time the ignition is switched on until it is switched off. If the journey is resumed within two hours after the ignition is switched off, the new figures are automatically included in the calculation.
Unlike the single journey memory, the total journey memory is not erased automatically. In this way, you can determine the period for which you wish the on-board computer to supply driving information.
With some Audi A6 functions, you can call up the information from the single journey memory in line -1- Fig. 2.
Fuel consumption
The current fuel consumption can be shown in a bar display Fig. 1. The average fuel consumption (ltr./100 km) from the single journey memory can also be displayed. If the bar turns green, your Audi A6 is saving fuel using one of the following functions:
- Recuperation: Electrical energy can be stored in the battery (recuperation) if the Audi A6 is travelling downhill or coasting in gear (overrun). In this case, the bar will move towards the
symbol. - Coasting mode* ►Link.
- Active Cylinder Management*: The engine automatically shuts down four cylinders when performance demand is low and certain other conditions have been met. This process is imperceptible to the occupants. The driver message 4-cylinder mode appears under the bar. The cylinders are reactivated under heavier load conditions.
Note
- The measurement units may be different on Audi A6s for some markets.
- The information in the memory is cancelled if the battery is disconnected.
