The four surround view cameras are located in the radiator grille, in the boot lid and on both exterior mirrors Fig. 171►. Please ensure that the lenses of the cameras are kept free of stickers, deposits and any other substances which could impair the function of the system. Notes on cleaning link►.
In overhead view mode, black edges are shown on the vehicle s silhouette. Objects in these areas are outside the camera s field of vision and are not detected.
- Please observe the safety warnings ►.
- For safety reasons, you should not use the system if the position or installation angle of any of the cameras have been changed, e.g. due to an accident. Have it checked by a qualified workshop.
- Please note that the display will be incorrect if the exterior mirror housing is knocked out of position.
- Make sure the boot lid is properly closed before using the rear view and/or corner view (rear); otherwise the display will be incorrect.
- The overhead view is composed from the camera pictures. A graphical image of the vehicle is superimposed on the display by the system. Objects and obstacles above the camera are not displayed.
- Camera lenses enlarge and distort the field of vision. Objects on the screen are modified and depicted inaccurately.
- Please observe the safety warnings ►.
- The infotainment display shows the path of the rear end of the vehicle if you were to reverse using the current steering angle. Please note that the front end of the vehicle swings out further than the rear. Please make sure you keep a sufficient distance between the vehicle and any obstacles to make sure that the exterior mirror or edge of the vehicle do not collide with the obstacles.
Note
If one of the symbols // appears and the corresponding display zone is greyed out, the exterior mirrors have been retracted electrically or one of the front doors or boot lid is open.
