When an airbag is triggered, the car telephone kit or connected mobile phone will automatically place an emergency call.
Important: The MMI system Link and the car telephone kit Link must be activated.
Select: Function selector button TEL > control button Settings > Telephone settings > Auto SOS.

When an airbag is triggered, the car telephone kit or connected mobile phone will call the emergency number. In addition, the position of your Audi A5 can be determined via cell-ID positioning.

The automatic emergency call function can be switched off. However, the emergency call function will be reset to on when the engine is switched off.
WARNING!
Please note that automatic emergency call cannot be guaranteed under all circumstances for technical reasons. Do not rely solely on your telephone when a vital communication (e.g. medical emergency) is involved.
Note
  • The automatic emergency call is available for all EU countries as well as Switzerland, Norway, Liechtenstein and Iceland.
  • In some countries, emergency calls can also be placed without a SIM card or bonded mobile phone from Audi A5s with a car telephone kit. Please find out whether this is applies to the country you are in.
