Display in the instrument cluster
The tips in the instrument cluster display tell the driver in advance when to let the vehicle coast in anticipation of events ahead that will require a slower speed.
The tips are only displayed when the cruise control* or adaptive cruise control* systems are switched off.
Information is also provided in the head-up display*.

Always direct your full attention to the road and surroundings, even when you are using the predictive efficiency assist. It is always the driver s responsibility to assess the traffic situation and take appropriate care.
Note
- The type of information displayed can vary depending on the driving mode currently selected in drive select* link► and on the current selector lever position (automatic gearbox*). More tips are given in efficiency* mode. No tips are shown in position S or in dynamic mode.
- If a route has been entered in the navigation system*, that route will be used as reference for the tips given. If no route has been entered, the system uses an assumed route plan to predict the situation ahead.
- A tip is not given in every situation, for instance if the vehicle is too close to react to the event ahead.
- No tips are given at speeds below 30 km/h.
