The boot lid can be released manually from the luggage compartment or from the rear seat bench.
On vehicles with folding backrest
Take out the emergency key link►.
Prise off the cover in the boot lid trim (using the emergency key) Fig. 30►.
Press the release lever in the direction of the arrow to unlock the boot lid.
On vehicles with fixed backrest
Carefully pull the left side of the rear seat bench out of its mounting until you can grasp hold of the Bowden cable Fig. 31►.
Remove the Velcro strip -B-.
Pull the loop -A- until the boot lid is released.
Stick the Bowden cable back on and press the seat bench back into its mounting.
WARNING
After the boot lid has been released manually on vehicles with fixed backrest, ensure that the bowed wire retainer under the rear seat bench engages securely in the mounting when reattaching the rear seat.
