Before carrying passengers on the rear seats, pull the head restraints on the occupied seats all the way up .
Adjusting head restraints
To raise the head restraint, take hold of it on both sides and move it up until you feel it click into place at the desired position Fig. 70.
To lower the head restraint, press the button -arrow- Fig. 70 and slide the head restraint downwards.
Removing head restraints
Push the head restraint upwards as far as it will go.
Press the release point Fig. 71 with the emergency key link and press the button -arrow- Fig. 70. At the same time, pull the head restraint out of the backrest .
Installing head restraints
Push the posts of the head restraint into the guides until you feel them click into place.
Press the button -arrow- Fig. 70 and push the head restraint all the way down. It should no longer be possible to remove the head restraint from the backrest without pressing the button.
WARNING
  • Please observe the safety warnings link.
  • Remove the head restraints on the rear seats only if this is necessary in order to attach a child seat link. Install the head restraint again immediately after removing the child seat. Travelling with the head restraints removed or not raised increases the risk of severe injuries.
