If the indicator lamp lights up, a bulb has failed. The message indicates the location of the bulb.
  • If the indicator lamp also lights up, a front fog light* bulb has failed. The position of the indicator lamp matches the position on the Audi A4.
  • If the indicator lamp also lights up, a rear fog light bulb has failed. The position of the indicator lamp matches the position on the Audi A4.
This warning can also occur if the light switch is in an unengaged position between two symbols.
Audi A4 lights: malfunction
There is a fault with the headlights or light switch.
Drive to a qualified workshop soon and have the fault rectified.

  • Bulbs are sensitive to pressure. The glass can break when you touch the bulb, causing injury.
  • Incorrect handling of the high-voltage element of xenon gas-discharge bulbs* can have potentially fatal consequences.
