Applies to Audi A4s: with CD changer
The CD changer is located in the glove box.
- To load a CD: Press the LOAD button -3- Fig. 1. The CD changer is not ready for loading as long as the LEDs in the CD slot light up in red. When the CD changer is ready for loading, the green LEDs in the CD slot -2- will flash. Insert the CD (text facing upwards) into the CD slot -2-, holding it straight. The CD will automatically be loaded into the next available position in the CD changer. The LED in the corresponding button -4- will light up.
- To load several CDs simultaneously: Press and hold the LOAD button -3- for more than 2 seconds. Wait until the green LEDs in the CD slot -2- flash. Insert the CDs (text facing upwards) one at a time into the CD slot -2-, holding them straight. The CDs will automatically be loaded into the next available positions in the CD changer.
- To load CD in a specific position: Press the LOAD button -3-. The next empty position -4- will flash. The LEDs at the occupied positions will light up permanently. Press the button corresponding to the desired position and remove the CD/DVD if necessary. Insert the CD that you wish to load (text facing upwards) into the slot -2-, holding it straight.
- To eject the CD that is currently playing: Press button -1- twice. After it has been ejected, the CD will automatically be pulled back into the CD changer after about 30 seconds if it is not removed from the CD slot.
- To eject any CD: Press button -1- and then one of the flashing buttons -4-.
- To eject all CDs: Press and hold button -1-.
- To stop the loading process: Press the LOAD button -3- again while loading all CDs.

The CD changer is started and operated via the MMI Link.
Note
- Please observe the notes for handling CDs.
- Under certain circumstances audio CDs that are copy-protected or CDs that do not comply with the standard audio format cannot be played, or the functionality may be limited.
- In the case of MP3 files with variable bit rate, the display of elapsed playing time may deviate from the actual figure.
