The tank flap can be released manually if the central locking system should fail to operate.
The manual release mechanism is behind the right rear seat.
The cord for the manual release is located on the cover.
Take the cover out of the trim.
Pull the cap carefully Fig. 1. The lug on the cover should point towards the front (i.e. in the direction the cord is pulled).
Press the left side of the tank flap to open it Fig. 2.
Caution!
Stop pulling the cap when you feel resistance (the release mechanism is not audible). Otherwise, you could damage the manual release mechanism.
