The system can be switched on and off on the MMI*.
Select: MENU button > Car > control button Systems* > Driver assist > Audi side assist. Select off to switch off the system.
The warning lamps in the exterior mirrors light up briefly each time the ignition is switched on to indicate that the system is activated.
