Applies to Audi A3s: with plug-in hybrid drive
During the charging cycle, you can switch between immediate charge -3- and charging timer -1- if a charging timer has been set. Simply press the desired button.
The following options are available for charging:
Immediate charging
To start charging immediately, press button -3- Fig. 1. The LED in the button will light up.
Setting the charging timers
A time delay for charging can be set using the timers on the MMI1). You can set two different timers.
If a timer has already been set, press button -1- Fig. 1. The LED in the button will light up.
To set a charging timer, press function selector button MENU > Car > Car systems > Charging & e-tron > Program time > Change timer.
Select Single timer or Repeat timer.
Set the time, date and day of the week.
You can activate the air conditioner during the charging cycle by selecting Air conditioner with the rotary pushbutton. A will appear in the box. This activation setting is independent of the MMI settings in the auxiliary air conditioner menu ►Link.
Press the BACK button.
Use the rotary pushbutton to confirm the setting and activate the timer. A will appear in the box.
Power saving mode
The power saving mode is automatically activated if you do not use the operating unit for longer than one minute. The LED -A- Fig. 2 will remain lit. All other LEDs will go out.
To switch the power saving mode on/off manually, press the button -A- Fig. 2.
Power saving mode is automatically deactivated when you plug the Audi A3 charging connector into the Audi A3.
LED -A- flashes when the high-voltage battery is being charged.
Note
- The high-voltage battery is also charged in power saving mode.
- If the Audi A3 is being charged, the charging cycle will not be interrupted when power saving mode is activated.
- The charging cycle can be interrupted at any time. To do so, press the activated button on the Audi A3 Fig. 1.
- The performance of the air conditioner during a charging cycle depends on the power rating of the mains connection. For more information on air conditioning, refer to ►Link.
- The air conditioner runs on electric power if you activate it via the charging timer. This can be done in confined spaces such as garages.
