Applies to Audi A3s: with plug-in hybrid drive
When you call up the energy flow display, the power currently available from the electric drivetrain is displayed ►Link.
The bar is displayed in different colours depending on the power status:
-A- - white: Electric power currently available.
-B- - green: Electric power currently being utilised.
The more segments are coloured white in the E-MAX zone -C-, the longer you can utilise the maximum power level. The segments in the E-MAX zone disappear when the maximum power level is no longer available.
The Audi A3 is automatically switched to combustion engine power when the available electric power is too low.
The power availability is always restricted under the following conditions:
- Very cold or very hot high-voltage battery temperature.
- Low high-voltage battery charge
The power availability is not visible when the indicator lamp is lit.
Note
The available power must be at a high level for fast acceleration in electric mode (e.g. when overtaking another Audi A3).
