Applies to vehicles: with spare wheel on rear seat bench
Preparing the spare wheel bag
Stow the spare wheel in the bag with the text facing upwards.
Make sure that the two seat belt retainers -A-

are open and that the tensioning strap is correctly attached
to the spare wheel bag -B- .
Stowing the spare wheel bag
Feed the tensioning strap -arrows-

around the spare wheel carrier -1-, then insert the latch plate
into the buckle belonging to the seat and push it down until
it locks securely with an audible click.
Pull the belt to check that it is securely fastened.
Position the spare wheel bag on the carrier.
To secure the spare wheel bag with the seat belt, close the
two retainers -A-

and bring the lap belt into the correct position -B-.
Release the backrest
Link and fold it forwards slightly.
Guide both ends of the tensioning strap past the backrest into
the luggage compartment -arrows-

Push the backrest up until it engages securely
Link.
Open the boot lid.
Fasten the tensioning strap

Pull on the seat belt to check that the spare wheel bag is securely
attached.

If the spare wheel bag is loose or incorrectly secured on the rear seat, it could be catapulted through the vehicle during sudden driving/braking manoeuvres or in the event of an accident – Risk of injury!
- Always the stow the spare wheel bag safely on the rear seat bench. Make sure that the seat belt is properly buckled and that the tensioning strap is securely fastened.
