Applies to vehicles: with Audi connect
Requirements
The vehicle must be stationary, and the ignition must be switched
on.
Using a separate SIM card
Insert your mini SIM card (printed side facing up, contact surface
facing down) into the slot of the card reader

The missing corner of the SIM card should be at the front left.
Then push the SIM card into the slot until you feel it engage.
Enter the PIN code for your SIM card in the MMI.
Press the control button for OK.
To allow the MMI to connect automatically in the future, select
and confirm Yes.
If you wish to make and receive your calls via a bonded mobile
phone, your mobile phone must be connected via the Bluetooth
profile Handsfree. It is necessary
to restart the MMI system to do this.
Select Restart system.
Enter your SIM card's PIN into the MMI again after you have
restarted the system.
To establish a data connection for Audi connect services, confirm
the prompt on the display with Yes.
After connecting successfully
After connecting successfully, one or two signal strength bars
(depending on the connection type) will be displayed in the
status line of the MMI display -7-/-8-

You can now use Audi connect.
Select: MENU button >
Audi connect.
Confirm the system query of whether an Internet connection should
be established with Yes.
Removing SIM card
Briefly press the SIM card. The card will then eject from the
slot. Remove the SIM card.
Note
- It is necessary to restart the MMI after switching from the Bluetooth profile Car phone to Handsfree (and vice versa) if a SIM card is inserted.
- If you are using the SIM card for Audi connect only, you can connect a mobile phone using Bluetooth (Handsfree) to make phone calls Link.
- If you are using the SIM card for Audi connect and for making calls, you can also use your mobile phone's contacts by connecting the phone using the Directory profile Link.
