Applies to Audi A1s: with halogen headlights
The following instructions for changing the bulb apply to halogen headlights.
Removing bulb for main beam headlight
Disconnect the plastic connector from the base of the bulb Fig. 1.
Unhook the two wire retainers from the clips one at a time Fig. 2.
Take the bulb out of the housing.
Installing bulb for main beam headlight
Fit the new bulb in the bulb housing with the flat side pointing to the left.
Hook the two wire retainers back into the clips one at a time. Make sure that the wire retainers are resting against the base of the bulb.
Look through the headlight lens to check that the bulb is straight.
Plug the plastic connector back in.
Fit the cover.
Re-install the headlight Link.
Note
Make sure that the cover is correctly seated to ensure that water cannot enter the headlight housing and to prevent the headlight from malfunctioning.
