Applies to Audi A1s: with halogen headlights
The following instructions for changing the bulb apply to halogen headlights.
Removing bulb for dipped beam headlight
Take off the cover Link.
Press the bulb upwards and take it out.
Disconnect the plastic connector from the base of the bulb Fig. 2.
Installing bulb for dipped beam headlight
Plug the plastic connector back in Fig. 2.
Insert the new bulb into the housing with the lug pointing upwards Fig. 1.
Press the bulb first upwards, then downwards into the bulb holder so that it engages and is flush with the bulb holder.
Look through the headlight lens to check that the bulb is straight.
Refit the cover, making sure it engages correctly.
Re-install the headlight Link.
Note
Make sure that the cover is correctly seated to ensure that water cannot enter the headlight housing and to prevent the headlight from malfunctioning.
