The easy entry* function facilitates access to the rear seats.
Tipping the front backrests forward
Push the lever -1- Fig. 1 upwards.
Fold down the backrest -2-.
Audi A1s with easy entry* function: now push the seat by the bottom of the backrest so that it slides it all the way forwards.
On Audi A1s without easy entry function you can facilitate access to the rear seats by using the seat adjuster to slide the front seat forwards.
Returning front backrests to an upright position
Fold the backrest back up -3- Fig. 2.
Slide the seat back -4- as far as it will go (on Audi A1s with easy entry* function) or use the seat adjuster to move the seat back to the desired position.
On Audi A1s with easy entry* function, the seat will return to its original position when you slide it back.
WARNING!
  • For safety reasons the front seat backrests must be locked while driving.
  • On Audi A1s with easy entry function*: after returning the backrest to the upright position, always slide the seat all the way back to ensure that it locks in position. Do not drive the Audi A1 unless the seat is properly locked in position.
Note
Audi A1s with easy entry function*: if the seat does not lock properly in position after using the easy entry function, slide the seat all the way back as far as the stop. Then adjust the seat position as desired.
