The driver information system is operated using the buttons on the multi-function steering wheel.
The on-board computer is only available when the ignition is on. When the ignition is switched on, the display shows the function that was last selected.
To switch between the tabs Link, press the left or right side of the rocker switch -1- Fig. 1.
To display more information further up or down the display, scroll the thumbwheel -2- up or down.
To confirm a selection, press the thumbwheel -2-.
To call up the Audi A1 functions, use the rocker switch -1- to select the first display tab.
To display the Audi A1 functions menu, press button -3-.
To select a menu item, scroll and press the thumbwheel -2-.
To call up a function assigned to the steering wheel button, press the button -4-.

As well as the figures from the on-board computer (memories 1 and 2 and efficiency programme), the display can also show information from other systems. Press button -3- briefly to switch back and forward between these displays.
Scroll the thumbwheel -2- to switch back and forward between on-board computers 1 and 2. The efficiency programme can be called up by pressing button -3-.
The number (1 or 2) in the top corner of the on-board computer display or the filling nozzle symbol in the efficiency programme shows which memory or mode is active.
Resetting on-board computer figures to zero
To erase all of the data from one of the on-board computer memories, select On-board computer from the Audi A1 functions menu. Select a data item from the desired memory and press the thumbwheel -2- for one second. The following items are reset to zero:
  • Average fuel consumption
  • Average speed
  • Driving time
  • Distance covered
Assigning a function to the steering wheel button
Select: Function selector button CAR > Audi A1 settings > Steering wheel button.
Note
  • The information in the memory is cancelled if the battery is disconnected.
