- Fig. 1 DAB station list showing stations no longer received
The radio has three wavebands: FM, MW and DAB* (digital radio). The stations which are currently within reception range are displayed in a station list and can be selected. Of course you can tune the radio to the next available station or scan all stations via the MMI control console. You can store your favourite stations in any order on a memory list.
FM (very high frequency)
The FM station list (max. 63 stations) is updated automatically.
MW (medium wave)
The MW station list (max. 31 stations) must be updated manually.
When you leave the range of reception the stations in the station lists will still be displayed, but the reception will be poor.
Digital radio* (DAB frequency)
If you are listening to "Digital Audio Broadcasting" the station list shows so-called ensembles (max. 20 ensembles). Ensembles cover a specific area (e.g. a city or region) and comprise various radio stations.
The station list is updated automatically in the background. If you leave the range of reception, ensembles or radio stations which can no longer be received are marked with the symbol -1- Fig. 1. The symbol disappears as soon as the ensemble or radio station can be received again.
Note
The transmission standards DAB+ and DMB Audio1) are supported depending on availability.
